I love shooting on location, preferably outdoors, in an environment you either know well, or new a place you'd like to explore. If there is an activity involved, all the better!

Prior to the session, I'll ask you to answer some questions before, so I can understand the vibe you want in your photos. Do you want big smiles and giggles? Staged poses or candids? Are you honoring a loved one or want to be a sultry model for the day? Want the nature to be as present in the photo as the subject? Have literally no idea what "vibe" you want and feel incredibly awkward in front of a camera? Thank goodness you're here.

To the small business owners ready to launch, rebrand, remind the people the amazing service or product you provide, I offer glow-up video shoots complete with a 30-60 second edited ad--perfect for social media.

What is your logo?

It's a hippo with a camera lens nose/mouth.

The hippo is my family mascot (Hipps/hippo) and I wanted to incorporate it into this photographic venture.

What is hippstory?

Another fun way I've branded my name and my profession as a history teacher. Photographer Hippstorian ready to shoot, and after we've worked together, you'll be #capturedbyhippstory too.

Do I have a say in what final photos are professionally edited and delivered to me?

Yes! In your gallery, you'll be able to view the majority of the photos from our session then choose your favorites. You'll even get to leave comments for specific edits you want me to make.

From there I use Lightroom Classic to enhance the best qualities and cut out any distractions.

If you're not sure on which to choose, I'll fill in my top picks.

When are you available?

Upon selecting "Services" you will choose the photoshoot type and continue to a booking date and time.

During the school year, my shoot times are limited to Saturday and Sundays. My schedule opens up a bit more during the summer.

Always feel free to inquire about a date and time you don't see listed.

Is my deposit refundable? What if I get sick?

Your booking fee is the cost of booking my time. The rest of the fee is paid after we've completed our session.

If you get sick or disaster strikes, you can reschedule your session without paying another booking fee.

Your initial agreement to pay a booking fee remains, even if for some reason you are never able to reschedule,
